General Electric DS200DCFBG1B DC Power Supply Feedback Board Critical Turbine And Drive Applications
Product Description:
The General Electric DS200DCFBG1B is a DC Power Supply Feedback Board designed for critical turbine and drive applications, including the EX2000, DC2000, and AC2000 series. It serves as a central power management and monitoring hub, converting input power from a control power transformer into various regulated DC voltages to operate the drive system and enclosure fans.
Key Features:
The board's primary role is to generate and distribute multiple control-level power supplies, including +5V, ±15V, and ±24VDC. Beyond power conversion, it integrates sophisticated monitoring circuits that track essential system parameters such as armature current and voltage, motor field current, and AC line voltage magnitude and phase sequence. It also includes the driver circuits for the motor field SCR gate pulse generators.
A defining characteristic of the DS200DCFBG1B is its use of Voltage-Controlled Oscillator (VCO) circuits. These circuits convert critical analog input voltages—from SCR bridge voltage, output bridge voltage, and millivolt signals from field and armature shunts—into proportional frequency signals (0-500 kHz). These digital frequency signals are then transmitted to the master SDCC or LDCC control board for processing, providing reliable feedback on the motor's operational status.
The board is highly configurable through twelve jumpers and seven DIP switches, allowing for customer-specific options, though these are typically factory-set. It incorporates robust diagnostic and protection features. The status of the vital +5VDC supply is indicated by the /PSEN signal, which can trigger a microprocessor reset in the control card if the voltage is unregulated. Furthermore, the board is protected by fuses (FU1, FU2, FU3) for its power outputs, with clear visual indicators—LEDs CR51 and CR55 for DC fuses and a neon light LT1 for the AC fuse—to quickly identify faults.
